I have worked in wood and bamboo composites-related research for the past 25 years; including wood-cement composites, particleboard and OSB manufacture and quality, veneer and plywood manufacturing, and currently bamboo utilization. I have worked in wood durability research. My current role in the Bamboo Applications and Management Group involves writing and publications, funding grant proposals and supporting the diverse and growing group of graduate students with technical questions, writing and publication. My main research areas at the moment include the use of bamboo fibres in moulded pulp manufacture and development of wood-bamboo hybrid building materials.
