Canada's Environmental Voice
Canada’s reputation at global climate talks has gone downhill over the last decade, and we have a lot of work to do in order to repair that. Last July, US environmental activist and founder of 350.org, Bill McKibben referred to Canada as a “destructive and dangerous force upon the planet.”
The recent attacks in Paris led French President Francois Hollande to bar all protests in the city surrounding the UN climate talks, including the Global Climate March, which expected to have 500,000 attendees. The cancelling of the march in Paris has not stopped demonstrations in other countries from attracting thousands.
Climate change is an international, inter-generational and interdisciplinary issue.
